Would you like to heat your underfloor heating electrically instead of using gas? When choosing electric underfloor heating, you have a choice of various types, colors, sizes, and wattages of heating cables. We're happy to explain the differences and which one you should choose!
Step 1: Cement screed or dry construction
First of all, it's important to know what type of floor you're going to install your underfloor heating under. Is it a cement-based floor (also known as wet construction) or dry construction? In short: cement-based electric underfloor heating is specifically designed for installation in cement screed floors . The electric underfloor heating is then integrated into the cement floor. This is often the case in new-build homes. Do you want to install underfloor heating in an existing home? Then you choose Dry construction . In this method, the pipes are attached to the cement floor with insulation boards or studded plates. This is often done in renovations and existing houses.

Dry Construction Electric Underfloor Heating
Within the dry construction underfloor heating pipes, we offer two types of heating cables. The Magnum Heatboard electric heating cables can be installed directly under a floating wooden floor, parquet flooring, or laminate flooring. It's a thin system (only 12 mm) and can be controlled by a digital Wi-Fi thermostat. This ensures the floor is heated evenly. So, are you looking for electric underfloor heating for dry construction? Then there are two heating cables suitable for this: the Heatboard electric heating cable from 6 Watt per meter and 10 Watt per meter.
Magnum Heatboard electric heating cable (6 Watt)
The Magnum Heatboard electric heating cable, 6 watts per meter, is suitable for dry construction and is often used in existing homes or renovations.
