Maintenance

This 10mm MAGNUM PE-RT underfloor heating pipe is suitable for water-based underfloor heating systems. The 10mm pipe is available in 80-meter or 240-meter lengths. It is suitable for high temperatures up to 80°C.

  • Length: 80 meters
  • Diameter: 10 millimeter
  • Wall thickness: 1.3 millimeters
  • KOMO and SKZ approved
  • Oxygen diffusion-tight according to DIN 4726

MAGNUM PE-RT pipe

The MAGNUM PE-RT pipe is made of PE-RT type I, which stands for Polyethylene Raised Temperature. This makes it suitable for high temperatures up to 80°C with short peak loads of up to 95°C. The material is strong and flexible. The heating pipes are also recyclable. The pipe is specially designed for hot and cold water systems, underfloor and wall heating/cooling, and ceiling heating. Furthermore, the heating pipe is KOMO and SKZ certified and oxygen-tight according to DIN 4726.

Construction of the 10 x 1.3 mm MAGNUM PE-RT heating pipe

  • Level 1 PE-RT - Type 1
  • Layer 2 Inner adhesive layer
  • Layer 3 Diffusion-tight EVOH layer
  • Layer 4 Outer adhesive layer
  • Level 5 PE-RT - Type 1

Maximum tube length

This 10-millimeter- diameter PE-RT pipe has a 1.3- millimeter wall thickness. The pipes are available in rolls of 80 meters and 240 meters . Please note that the maximum pipe length per heating circuit is 80 meters. Longer pipe lengths result in excessive pressure loss. It is possible to connect two pipes to a circuit using "Push-Fit" splitters .

Mounting systems

This 10mm MAGNUM PE-RT pipe can be used with various mounting systems. Several mounting systems are explained below.

ThinMat system

The ThinMat system is the thinnest and lowest underfloor heating installation system available. It uses plastic tiles, which are attached to the existing subfloor using either screws or adhesive. The heating pipes are then laid within the tiles. The entire system is then finished with a tension-free leveling compound. The total height is only 15 millimeters.

DBS10 dry construction system

The DBS10 drywall system consists of profiled EPS insulation boards with a thickness of 15 millimeters. The boards have recesses for the heating pipes. It is a very lightweight system with a low installation height. This makes it often used in situations where installation on the existing floor is preferred, such as historic buildings or homes with a wooden subfloor.

Shrink nets

You can also use shrink mesh . Heating pipes can be easily secured to the shrink mesh with tie wraps or quick-release fasteners . After installing the shrink mesh with underfloor heating, finish the floor with a (cement) screed. This method is therefore often used in new construction and renovations.
