MAGNUM PE-RT pipe

The MAGNUM PE-RT pipe is made of PE-RT type I, which stands for Polyethylene Raised Temperature. This makes it suitable for high temperatures up to 80°C with short peak loads of up to 95°C. The material is strong and flexible. The heating pipes are also recyclable. The pipe is specially designed for hot and cold water systems, underfloor and wall heating/cooling, and ceiling heating. Furthermore, the heating pipe is KOMO and SKZ certified and oxygen-tight according to DIN 4726.

Construction of the 14mm x 2mm MAGNUM PE-RT heating pipe

  • Level 1 PE-RT - Type 1
  • Layer 2 Inner adhesive layer
  • Layer 3 Diffusion-tight EVOH layer
  • Layer 4 Outer adhesive layer
  • Level 5 PE-RT - Type 1

Maximum tube length

This MAGNUM PE-RT pipe has an external diameter of 14 millimeters and a wall thickness of 2 millimeters. We can supply it in rolls of 100 meters , 120 meters , 240 meters , and 600 meters . Please note that the maximum pipe length per heating circuit is 100 meters. Longer pipe lengths will result in excessive pressure loss. It is possible to connect two pipes to a circuit using "Push-Fit" splitters .

Mounting systems

The 14mm MAGNUM PE-RT pipe can be used with various mounting systems. Several mounting systems are explained below.

Stud plates

Studded plates are specially designed to simplify the installation of underfloor heating pipes. Using studded plates reduces installation time. The pipes can be easily pressed/clamped between the studs.

Dry-build insulation boards

The drywall insulation boards consist of profiled EPS insulation boards with a thickness of 25 millimeters. Heating pipes can be installed in the recesses of the boards. It is a very lightweight system with a low installation height. This makes it often used in situations where installation on the existing floor is preferred, such as historic buildings or homes with a wooden subfloor.

Tacker plate system

The tacker plate system is ideal for large areas of underfloor heating. The pipe can be attached to the tacker plate using tacker staples and a tacker stapler . Use approximately 3 staples per linear meter. This prevents shifting.

Shrink nets

You can also use shrink nets . Heating pipes can be easily secured to the shrink net with tie wraps or quick-release fasteners . After installing the shrink nets with underfloor heating, you finish the floor with a (cement) screed. This method is therefore often used in new construction and renovations.

Milled floors

If it's not possible to install the heating pipes in a newly laid screed, you can mill into the existing floor. The underfloor heating pipes are then laid in the milled grooves of the existing screed.

Warranty

We offer a full 50-year manufacturer's warranty on this 14mm MAGNUM PE-RT pipe, including coverage for the first 10 years against consequential damage.
