Maintenance
This 18mm MAGNUM PE-RT underfloor heating pipe is suitable for water-based underfloor heating systems. The 18mm pipe is available in 130 , 260, or 520 meter lengths. It is suitable for high temperatures up to 80°C.
- Length: 130 meters
- Diameter: 18 millimeter
- Wall thickness: 2 millimeters
- KOMO and SKZ approved
- Oxygen diffusion-tight according to DIN 4726
MAGNUM PE-RT pipe
The MAGNUM PE-RT pipe is made of PE-RT type I, which stands for Polyethylene Raised Temperature. This makes it suitable for high temperatures up to 80°C with short peak loads of up to 95°C. The material is strong and flexible. The heating pipes are also recyclable. The pipe is specially designed for hot and cold water systems, underfloor and wall heating/cooling, and ceiling heating. Furthermore, the heating pipe is KOMO and SKZ certified and oxygen-tight according to DIN 4726.
Construction of the 18mm x 2mm MAGNUM PE-RT heating pipe
- Level 1 PE-RT - Type 1
- Layer 2 Inner adhesive layer
- Layer 3 Diffusion-tight EVOH layer
- Layer 4 Outer adhesive layer
- Level 5 PE-RT - Type 1
Maximum tube length
This MAGNUM PE-RT pipe, with a diameter of 18 millimeters, has a wall thickness of 2 millimeters. We can supply it in rolls of 130 meters , 260 meters , and 520 meters . Please note that the maximum pipe length per heating circuit is 130 meters. Longer pipe lengths result in excessive pressure loss. We recommend a maximum pipe length of 100 meters. It is possible to connect two pipes to a circuit using "Push-Fit" splitters .
Mounting systems
This 18mm MAGNUM PE-RT pipe can be used with various mounting systems. Several mounting systems are explained below.
Tacker plate system
The tacker plate system is ideal for large areas of underfloor heating. The pipe can be attached to the tacker plate using tacker staples and a tacker stapler . Use approximately 3 staples per linear meter to prevent shifting.
Shrink nets
You can also use shrink nets . Heating pipes can be easily secured to the shrink net with tie wraps or quick-release fasteners . After installing the shrink nets with underfloor heating, you finish the floor with a (cement) screed. This method is therefore often used in new construction and renovations.
Stud plates
Studded panels are specially designed to simplify the installation of underfloor heating pipes. Using studded panels reduces installation time. The pipes can be easily pressed/clamped between the studs. The panels are fitted with 11 or 30 millimeters of EPS insulation on the underside. This installation method combines simple mounting with underfloor insulation. If the subfloor is already insulated, studded panels can be used without the EPS insulation layer.
Warranty
We offer a full 50-year manufacturer's warranty on this 18mm MAGNUM PE-RT pipe, including coverage for the first 10 years against consequential damage.
